YU DX Contest
=============
<Rules 2000/03.00>


Yugoslav radio-amateur organization (SRJ) and Yugoslav DX Club (YUDXC) 
have the honour of inviting amateurs from all over the world to take 
part in the YU DX Contest.



 1. Contest period: 
-------------------
Each third FULL weekend in April,
from 12:00 UTC on Saturday until 12:00 UTC on Sunday.

 2. Bands and Modes: 
--------------------
All bands from 1.8 through 28 MHz, except WARC bands,
CW and SSB. 
Avoid using the DX portion of the bands. 
Cross band/mode contacts are NOT permitted. 
The same station can be worked both in CW and SSB on the same band.
 


 3. Categories: 
---------------

A - Single Operator, CW 

B - Single Operator, SSB 

C - Single Operator, MIXED (SSB/CW) 

D - Multi Operator, MIXED, Single Transmitter 
When changing the band, category D participants must operate a minimum of 
10 (ten) minutes on the new band.
 


 4. Exchange: 
-------------
RS(T), plus number of your ITU zone. 


 5. QSO points: 
---------------
QSO with station from your ITU zone - 1 (one) point.
QSO with station on your continent (not your ITU zone) - 3 (three) points.
QSO with DX station - 5 (five) points. 


 6. Multipliers: 
----------------
Different ITU zones and different Yugoslav prefixes on each band count as 
multipliers. 
Same ITU zone and same Yugoslav prefix may be counted as a new multiplier 
only once per band, irrespective of the mode.
 


 7. Final score: 
----------------
Total sum of the QSO points from all bands, multiplied by total sum of 
multipliers from all bands. 


 8. Log instructions: 
---------------------

a) All times must be in UTC; 

b) All sent and received exchanges are to be logged; 

c) Indicate a multiplier only the first time it is worked on each band, 
   regardless of the mode; 

d) Logs must be checked for duplicate contacts, correct QSO points and 
   multipliers. Submitted logs must have duplicate contacts clearly shown; 

e) Entrants are encouraged to send logs on diskettes, or to email the logs via 
   Internet to yu0srj@beo.ampr.org
   IBM MS-DOS compatible diskettes are recommended. 
   Logs should be sent as ASCII files, or you can use K1EAs CT program, 
   version 8.45 or higher - use the option for IARU HF CHAMPIONSHIP CONTEST; 

f) Use a separate log-sheet or computer file for each of the bands; 

g) Each entry must be accompanied by a summary sheet (on paper), showing all 
   scoring information, station description, contestants name and address in 
   BLOCK letters, and a signed declaration that all contest rules and 
   regulations for amateur radio in the country of operation have been observed; 

h) More than 2% unmarked duplicate contacts in the LOG will be a sufficient 
   cause for disqualification. For every unmarked duplicate QSO, 3 (three) 
   previous contacts will be deleted; 
 


 9. Deadline: 
-------------
All entries must be postmarked no later than 30 (thirty) days after the contest. 
Indicate YU DX CONTEST on the envelope.

 CRITERIA FOR TROPHIES AND CERTIFICATES: 


1. TROPHIES 
a) Winners cup (or plaque) in each category for NON-YU stations; 
b) Winners cup (or plaque) in each category for YU stations. 

2. CERTIFICATES 
a) Top three contestants in each category for NON-YU stations and top three 
   contestants in each category for YU stations; 
b) Every station which completed more than 250 contacts, including 25 different 
   YU stations.
