2000 International RTTY Contest

1. Object: 
----------
Contact and exchange QSO information with as many stations as possible. 
Any station may work any other station. 
The call will be CQ XE TEST or CQ MEXICO TEST.
 


2. Contest period: 
-------------------
First full weekend of February
Begins 1800 UTC Saturday, February 5, and ends 2400 UTC Sunday, February 6, 2000
{01SUN02-1:1800:1800}


3. Mode: 
---------
RTTY Baudot only. 


4. Bands: 
----------
All amateur bands, 1.8, 3.5, 7, 14, 21, and 28 MHz. 
except 10, 18 & 24 MHz


5. Entry categories: 
--------------------
Single Operator, multi band only. Maximum power permitted. 


6. Exchange: 
------------
Mexico: Signal report and state. 
DX: Signal report and serial number, starting with 001.
 


7. Scoring: 
----------
(A) QSO points: 
Count two (2) points for each completed QSO in the same country. 
Count three (3) points for each completed QSO in a different country. 
Count four (4) points DX with any XE station.

(B) Multipliers: 
Count only once, each Mexican state and Distrito Federal, (32 entities) 
and each DXCC country on each band. (Band multipliers). 
NOTE: Mexico does not count as a DXCC country.
 

8. Reporting:

(A) Entries must be postmarked no later than 30 days after the end of the contest 
    (March 7, 2000). No late entries will be accepted. Use FMRE RTTY 
    International Contest forms. 

    Look for forms at: http://www.fmre.org.mx/ (Link Concursos). 
(B) An official summary sheet or reasonable facsimile, with a signed contest 
    participation disclaimer, is required with all entries. 

(C) Logs must indicate date, time in UTC, band, callsigns and complete exchanges,
    (sent and received), multipliers and QSO points. Multipliers should be marked 
    clearly in the log the first time they are worked.

9. Awards: 
----------
Original certificates will be awarded to the top three winners in the world and 
the top three Mexican stations. 
Also, recognition to first place in each DXCC counrty and Mexican state.
 

10. Disqualification: 
---------------------
for excessive duplicate contacts and callsign or exchange errors.
