00 - Scope and organization
It's an International contest organized by the RCL - Radioamador Club of
Loul - Algarve - Portugal, who's purpose is to work as many amateur
stations as possible.


01 - Participants
All the national and foreign licenced radioamateurs, operating its
proper station and SWL's.


02 - Category and mode
Mono-operator, in SSB and CW


03 - Date and hours
Annually, during 24 hours, in the weekend that precedes the Carnival of
Loul (Portugal). From 12 hours UTC of Saturday to 12 hours UTC of
Sunday.


04 - Frequency
All the regulated frequencies by the IARU, in 10, 15, 20, 40 and 80
meters.


05 - Contact
It's only valid one contact in each band/mode and each day, with the
same station.


06 - Score
Each contact scores one point.


07 - Multipliers
Each contact with a country DXCC and station CSRCL, once per band/mode.


08 - Total Score
It will be gotten multiplying the total of contacts for the total of the
multipliers.


09 - Exchange
The participant stations must change between it self, the callsign, RST
and serial number (starting in 001).


10 - Call
The call should be made in the following way: CQ Carnival of Loul
contest.


11 - Log's
The Log's must be postmarked  up to 30 days after the end of the contest
to: RCL - Radioamador Club of Loul - Seco de Concursos e Diplomas -
P.O. Box 155 - 8102 Loul Codex - Portugal, having the same ones to
indicate the following elements: Full identification of the participant
(Callsign, name and address); Date, QTR, callsign of the worked station,
band, mode, serial numbers (sent and received).
The duplicates must be designated with word DUPE and the multipliers
with word MULT, in front of the respective sheet.
It's suggested that you use a format A4 top sheet. A separate sheet must
be sent for each day.
A summary sheet showing the total score, total number of contacts per
day/band/mode and the total of multipliers and a signed declaration are
also required.




12 - SWL's
To participate you must send a Log with the contacts listened between
the participant stations.There can't be more than five contacts
listened, for the same station.You must listen to at least one time the
station CSRCL.


13 - Awards
The following awards will be attributed:
Trophies: To the three high score stations ; To the first classified
station in CW; To the RCL associate better classified; To the foreign
station better classified; To not continental Portuguese station better
classified; To YL better classified.
Diplomas to all  entrants with a minimum of 10 contacts and to SWL's
that have listened to 15 contacts at least, having one of them be with
the station CSRCL.
The awards are not accumulated. In case of a tie, it's up to the jury to
analyze the scoring, considering the hour of the last contact.
The awards delivery will be in the last Sunday of May, during the
closing lunch of the Encontro Ibrico de Radioamadores (Iberian
Radioamateur Meeting). The awards not delivered in this date will be
sent to the participants up to 30 days before the next Competition.


14 - General disposals
The participants accept this regulation and the decisions of the Jury,
with total resignation of impugnation or appeal.
