this Contest celebrates the Independence of Colombia and seaks to encourage
contacts with Radio Amateurs throughout the World
 
Categories:

A - single operator, single band
B - single operator, multiband
C - multioperator, single transmitter, multiband
    the operators must transmit from a single site and may not change bands
    within ten minutes of switching to new band
D - multioperator, multitransmitter, multiband
    all transmiters must be situated within 500 meters of each other

no mixed mode applications will be accepted, or cross mode contacts be
counted for points
 
Exchanges:

reports (RS or RST) plus consecutively numbered contacts comencing at 001.
(i.e. 59001 or 599001)

Multipliers:
------------ 
the number of DXCC Countries on each band, including HK, and the number of
HK zones worked on each band. (e.g. HK1, HK2, 5K3, HJ4, etc.) Hence HK0
counts both as a DXCC country and a HK zone. (two multipliers)

Points:

Colombian Contacts                         (1)  one point
South American Contacts                    (3)  three points
other Continents and San Andres Island     (5)  five points

other participants and San Andres Island:
own country or own continent               (1)  one point
other Continents                           (3)  three points
contacts with Colombian stations           (5)  five points
own country (0) points but only as multiplier

Final Score:

multiply the total points by the Multipliers obtained on all bands for the
final score
 
Log:
---- 
- logs to show: Times in UTC; station worked; reports send and received;
  mark each new multiplier; and points claimed
- separate log sheet for each band
- include a cover sheet indicating the category and the mode of the Contest
  being entered, your name, callsign, licence class, address, a summary of
  your score and how you come to claim it and particularly the number of
  Colombian stations worked
- duplicate contacts must be shown in the Log with cero (0) points
- incomplete logs or those without summary information will be used as
  checks, and it will not be included in the competition

other requirements:
- only one contact with the same station will be accepted for each band
- no cross band or cross mode contacts will be accepted
- to receive a Diploma and to compete in the Contest, a station must have
  worked at least 80 stations
- at least 2% of the QSO's in the logs must be Colombian stations and 10%
  of the QSO's must be different from your own country

Disqualification:
----------------- 
- stations will be disqualified for both breaches of the contest regulations
  and for breaches of a stations own license conditions
- stations will be diqualified for breaches of operating practice
- stations will be disqualified for persistantly taking credit for incorrect
  QSO's or Multipliers, or where more than 2% unmarked duplicate QSO's are
  used in the log
The decisions of the Contest Committee will be final and are not subject to
appeal

Awards:

Diplomas of participation, will be awarded to all stations who contact at
least eighty (80) stations in the contest
 
Trophies will be awarded to:
-  the absolute winner and winners from each Colombian Zone
-  winners on category "A" for each mode, band, and in Categories "B", "C",
   and "D" for each mode
-  the best scoring novice station. HJ and HJ0
-  the best scoring official station
-  the best scoring station in each continent
