REQNEWS is now compatable with the multi-user features of winpack v5.5 just
rename your news text file to your callsign.nws ie: GW4WOV.NWS and place the file in WINPACK/SERVERS note that as from this update, reqnews does not look in /winpack/extern for the news file... (new version of news.exe in the pipeline) So if you have 2 or more users using the system you can have your own individual news file, just name the file with the users callsign as outlined above...

Reqnews will now append a signature block to any messages generated by the server, To do this first create a sig block in Notepad or a similar text editor, just a couple of points to bear in mind, don't put any winpack tokens in the file ie: $HH $MM or any stuff like that, /TAG works ok (if you have TAGLINE installed!) and finally, keep your sig block to less than 1k, I've seen some pretty horendous sig blocks which are longer than the body text of the message! I've been over generous by allowing you 1K so don't exceed it or the sig will be truncated.

Save the sig block as your callsign.sig ie: GW4WOV.SIG put the file in WINPACK\SERVERS

To use muti-user sig blocks the principle is the same as for multi-user news files, ie: use your callsign.sig

If you don't want a sig block then do nothing, reqnews will carry on
strutting its stuff as normal...
