   This is the  HELP file for AEA DSP-2232 or PK-900 in dual radio environment.
    This information can be used with other AEA-modems.

   Advisable TNC initial commands:
      EAS ON         ECHO OFF     MSP 20         RB 45       USOs ON
      TXDELAY 4      MFILTER 00   MYS selcall    MYC call    MYPT call
      TXREV ON/OFF   XMITOK ON    CHSwitch $7C   RADIO 1/2

     Also select the modem:
      AEA DSP-2232:     MODEM 31     (radio1 = HF, radio2 = VHF 1200)
      AEA PK-900:       MODEM 1/4    (radio1 = HF, radio2 = VHF 1200)


   Default TNC-config:
      9600bps, 8 data bits, parity NONE and one stop bit.
      (TBaud 9600,   AWlen 8,   PARity 0)
      If you use different set-up, then alter the config by  JUKASUB TNC
         progran, use (C) in menu

------------- PROBLEMS ??? --------------

- Cannot communicate with the TNC:
     Run:  JUKASUB TNC  at MENU check the TNC-1 data  (Row 1 in JUKATNC0.HAM)

        93/PK-900-HF1/COM1:9600,N,8,1,..........
        ------------------------------------------------
        Setup above means: PK-900 in COM-1, speed 9600, parity none, 8 bit
                           and RITTY program in COM-8
        8 = DSP-2232 in dual port,   9 = PK-900 in dual port
        3 = RITTY,  2 = TNC-2 in terminal mode,  0 = TNC-2 not configured
        COM1 or COM2,  baud, parity, AWlen, stop-bit
        To alter the TNC config select 'Comm' in menu

- Autobaud routin:
     Prepare TNC (PK-900 or DSP-2232) using your old terminal program:
        Ctrl-C AUTOBAUD ON
        or reset the TNC: press and hold the reset-button and power on the TNC.
     Power off the TNC
     Run:  JUKKADSP
        At --LOAD MENU--, power on the TNC, wait for 'Press *' in the TNC
     Press: Enter.
     Note!!!  if reset used then you must reconfigure the TNC, see:
              'Advisable TNC initial commands'

- Cannot sign-on the DX-Cluster in Cluster screen (Alt-X)
     Check commands:
        Ctrl-C modem    (MODEM 31  or  MODEM 34  in DSP-2232)
           for RTTY / radio-1  and Packet / radio-2. Refer to TNCs manual.
        Use proper modem

        Ctrl-C radio 1/2     (RADIO 1/2)
        Ctrl-C CHSwitch $7C   (CHSwitch $7C)
     Also check: 'Advisable TNC initial commands:'  above

- Cannot communicate with the DX-Cluster in Cluster screen (Alt-X)
     type  CONverse command  (CONV lite in the TNC)
     or type  K and Enter

- RTTY (Radio-1) write to green screen in MAIN instead of blue.
        After Command mode in DX-Cluster screen the timing can be lost.
        or if Packet text contains 'p1 ' for example:
         DX de OH2GI:   14085  K7K  up1  'RTTY'....  (p1 is switch character)
     To resume press:  F7 and F1 in MAIN screen.

- Msg: loading modem msg in display of TNC (AEA-DSP-2232):
     If you change mode, for example from RTTY to Pactor (Alt-E) in MAIN
     then the TNC will load the modem automatically.
        In DX-Cluster screen (Alt-X) type command:  MODEM xx
        return to MAIN (F1)

- Overrun msg in bottom of JUKACOPY.LST file:
     If you have a lot of overruns then reduce speed of COM-port:
       1. Type command in DX-Cluster screen (Alt-X)      AUTOBaud ON
          or type command in DX-Cluster screen (Alt-X)   TBaud 2400
       2. Run JUKASUB TNC   select (Comm) in menu and use 2400 instead of 9600
       3. Power off the TNC,
       4. Run  JUKKA or JUKKADSP
       5. Power on the TNC
       6. Press Enter at load menu.
