Are you speaking of NEC N88-BASIC floppies, or NEC MS-DOS floppies? If
the latter (I guess so), the expression of "NOT MSDOS compatible" is
not exact. Exactly, "NOT IBM-PC compatible". Not all MS-DOS are for
IBM-PC. B-P

If Sun's floppy drive happens to be what is called a "3-mode" drive,
it might be possible. But I'm afraid not. The problem can never be
resolved only by software.
