available by
ftp://ftp.aist-nara.ac.jp/pub/elisp/Mew/mew-0.96.tar.gz
as well as gnu.emacs.sources.

Here is my message posted to several newsgroups.

Subject: Mew - True PGP/MIME viewer and composer on Emacs
Distribution:

Hi all,

I'm happy to announce the release of Mew version 0.96 --- an interface
for structured messages such as MIME, PGP, and PEM on Emacs. Mew 0.96
provides true integration of PGP and MIME, so called PGP/MIME, that
you can encrypt, sign, or sign then encrypt objects rather than text,
singleparts in a multipart, whole multipart, or whatever.

Mew's PGP/MIME is really experimental, so it's not Internet Standard.
No Internet-Drafts or RFCs are provided. You can find the spec of
PGP/MIME as 00pgp-mime in Mew's package.

Since Mew is known as exellent MIME interface, it is worth to use its
MIME feature in spite of PGP/MIME.

Mew is mainly written by Emacs Lisp but it requires some commands of
MH such as inc and scan(not mhn), and Perl for advanced its features.
So before you start using Mew, you need to install Emacs, MH, and
Perl. Some people state that Mew is an alternative of mh-e but it is
not totally correct. Though Mew seemds same as mh-e to you, Mew is
implemented with completely different concept. Anyway, mh-e users can
easily transfer into Mew.

For more information about Mew, see gnu.emacs.sources.
