The new engorged EDICT causes the JDXGEN utility some problems. 
Unbeknownst to me there is a limit in Turbo C on the number of open
files (file handles actually), so the version which was in jdic23.zoo
until a few minutes ago crashes.

As a temporary fix, I have bumped up the number of records/workfile to
30,000. This version is on monu6, both in the jdic23.zoo archive and 
by itself. Make sure you have plenty of RAM to run it.

[If you are wondering why I did not find out about it earlier, well
my "PC" is actually a copy of SoftPC running on my DECstation. As the MIPS
is a little-endian, I simply set up symbolic links from the "dos" 
directory to the (Unix) edict and edict.xjdx files. In fact the 
"edict.jdx" released on monu6 was generated by xjdxgen.]
