A new version of kanjidic is now in pub/nihongo on
monu6.cc.monash.edu.au.

The changes since the last release are:

(a) details on practically every kanji. Iain Sinclair has
plumbed the depths of Spahn & Hadamitsky to produce this,
for which I am very grateful. I caught up the last few
in Morohashi (thanks to Harold Rowe for sorting me out on
prewar yomikata.)

(b) The "Henshall" codes for the Jouyou kanji (thanks to
Alfredo Pinochet).

(c) the PinYin of the non-kokuji kanji (thanks to
Christian Wittern).

While kanjidic has become a very useful repository of info
about the JIS1/2 kanji, it has become a little large for
most people's taste. I have put on monu6 a utility program
(kdfilt [.c & .exe]) which strips out the codes you do not
want. Thus if you are using kanjdic within xjdic, it can
be tailored to suit your requirements.

For people using kanjidic via the "kinfo.*" files in
JDIC, I plan to release the utilities which generate
kinfo.dat and the indices, in order to allow users
to tailor the information they receive.
