Subject: Searching for NEmacs
Status: RO

Sorry to bother you but I am a student from Norway who was in Japan
last year. I am searching for NEmacs(or any other japanese word
processor that I can use for myself).

I have tried the ftp-sites foretune.co.jp, tohoku.ac.jp, and funet.fi
without any help. Could you please help me out? Any information about
where to find this kind of program would be grateful.

Subject: Trying to install nemacs
Status: RO

Hello again

I wrote to you some time ago about how to get nemacs.
I tried your recommended ftp-site, and found the files I was
searching for. However, I had some trouble copying the files, because
of their formidable size. In the end, asking for help at the university,
I found out that the nemacs files actually was at a local directory.
(I am a complete beginner when it comes to computers...)

So, I copied the files, and tried to find out how to install them.
However since I didn't understand how to do it at once, and
figuring that to go through all the files to find out what to do would
take a lot of effort, I just wonder how I can install the program in
an easy manner.

I am using UNIX at the university, and would like to be able to use
nemacs on that terminal. I have seen people use chinese programs, with
kanji, so I guess it is supposed to be possible to get the characters
alright.
